From this week, and until next October 1, teachers of training cycles in the region of Murcia can access online Artificial Intelligence courses organized by the Center for Teachers and Resources Region of Murcia, belonging to the General Directorate of Human Resources, Educational Planning, and Evaluation of the Ministry of Education and Culture. The courses, taught by expert engineers in AI and new technologies from the leading Cartagena company in this type of technology, Biyectiva, have their syllabi developed by the Murcia Artificial Intelligence Association, MIA.

The students of this first AI course, made up of more than twenty teachers from Murcia, Cartagena, Caravaca, Yecla, Beniaján, Alquerías, among others, will be able to solve problems that traditional algorithms are not capable of solving. During the ten days of the courses, the training cycle teachers will learn time series analysis, Natural Language Processing, regression analysis, classification of tabulated data, and Convolutional Neural Networks, among others. With this training, they will be able to transmit this knowledge to young people who can carry out professional studies in the technological sector and it will naturally facilitate their access to quality jobs.

The Minister of Education and Culture, María Isabel Campuzano, pointed out that “this sector is one of the most fascinating and with the most projection”. In addition, she added that “from the government of the region we will continue betting on innovation and the training of professionals”.

According to Biyectiva's AI engineer and professor of the course, Jorge Gálvez, these technologies "offer capacities that are highly valued in the market, since they are increasingly necessary for software development both now and in the future." Along the same lines, José Carlos Madrid, from MIA, adds that they are “working hard on the management of intensive training aimed at different profiles within the field of AI”. “We believe that this dissemination should reach all sectors, from company CEOs to find out what is being done in their sector, to engineers to learn techniques and algorithms, as well as to anyone interested in any area who wants to know how they can apply these tools to their field of work or studies”, says Madrid.
